
Philip Marschall
Philip is a Senior Consultant in the Location Strategies Practice of Evergreen Advisors focused on assisting corporate clients with optimizing their location decisions as well as their ability to realize valuable economic incentives such as cash grants, tax abatements, PILOT agreements, sales tax sharing agreements, workforce training grants, payroll rebates, sales and use tax refunds, utility benefits, and other economic incentives. Philip manages all aspects of the site selection process and applies specialized GIS tools (Geo-Information Systems) to aid analytics in the fields of real estate search, technical site assessment, demographic and workforce analysis, industry cluster research, and supply chain and logistics optimization.
Philip started his site selection consulting career at the German American Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta. He was a founding member of Navigator Consulting, a boutique site selection firm focused on inbound manufacturing FDI out of Europe. Directing the firm’s European office in Düsseldorf Germany, Philip managed over 20 investment projects in the United States that have announced over 1.9 billion in CAPEX and over 4,500 jobs since 2014.
Education
Philip holds a Master of Science in Economic Geography from RWTH Aachen University. He has graduated from school in both the United States and Germany and is fluent in both languages and culturally at home on both sides of the Atlantic.
Organizations
Philip is actively engaged with advisory and speaking roles at the Transatlantic Business and Investment Council (TBIC), an organization promoting transatlantic trade and investment. He has developed a certification program geared toward U.S. communities improving their investment attraction efforts.
Interests
Philip is an avid freediver, holding a level 2 AIDA certification (PB 25 meters). Pushing boundaries yet managing risk are decisive in this sport – lessons he applies above water to his work as well.
