The Company is a 4th generation family owned and operated Home Improvement company based in the Mid-Atlantic with annual revenue in excess of $150 Million. We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and drive our financial strategy to support our growth plans.
Position Overview: You will work closely with the CEO, COO, President, and executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that align with our business goals and drive sustainable growth. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and a hands-on professional who can manage financial operations while contributing to overall business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop, communicate, and execute the company’s financial strategy to support growth objectives, maximize profitability, and optimize resource allocation.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts. Provide insights, modeling, and analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Monitor and manage financial compliance, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
- Capital Management: Oversee capital structure and evaluate opportunities for cost reduction and capital optimization i.e. employee phantom shares, distrubtions, and updated comp plans to add bonus-based incentives tied to company goals.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture. Provide guidance on professional development and performance management
- Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance: Manage the companies and all entities’ licenses and legal matters to ensure the company is in good standing for future and current markets/products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record of 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with Sage Accounting and Salesforce Lighting is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to drive change and influence decisions at the executive level.
