Q: What’s your professional background, and how did you end up in CFO advisory?
Steve:
I’ve spent most of my career working with early-stage, founder-led companies. That’s where I feel I can add the most value—especially when a founder wants to grow and eventually exit but isn’t ready to invest in a full-time CFO. CFO advisory allows me to step in at that critical stage and help guide the business forward.
Q: What types of companies have you worked with most often?
Steve:
Primarily software and IT services companies. I’ve worked closely with founders as their businesses scale, and I’ve seen firsthand how the financial challenges and priorities change at each stage of growth.
Q: How do you approach working with ambitious founders?
Steve:
Founders usually have a clear vision of where they want to go. My role is to bring experience to the table—helping translate that vision into a realistic financial roadmap and having the right conversations at the right time as the company grows.

Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
Steve:
I’m happiest outdoors. Camping and hiking are my favorite ways to unplug and reset—especially after a busy stretch of work.
