Fred is a Vice President in Evergreen’s Outsourced CFO Advisory Practice.
Fred Shaw has diversified experience in both public and private accounting serving a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Health Care, Service and Government Contracting industries.
CFO Advisory
Prior to joining Evergreen Advisors, he worked with middle-market companies at JPB Accounting Service and at KJC Financial Services, Inc., a firm he founded in 2002 to provide CFO services to small and mid-sized companies in the Central Maryland region.
As a former Partner for 12 years (1983 to 1995) with KPMG in its Mergers and Acquisition Group located in New York City, he was responsible for due diligence and acquisition structure and financing on major transactions. In addition, Fred spent over 7 years (from 1995 to 2002) with two companies as CFO with revenues in excess of $400 million each in the manufacturing sector; both companies were sold for a total sale price in excess of $300 million.
He is an expert and accomplished lecturer on acquisition structure and financing and has taught Accounting for fifteen semesters at Howard Community College.

Fred has a BBA in Accounting from Pace University in New York City.

Fred is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and various State Societies of CPA’s.
Interests
Accountants are not normally known for their humor, Fred is the exception. Unless it’s about sports – he lives and dies by the Dodgers. No joke.
