Steve Scribner

Steve Scribner is a Vice President in Evergreen’s Outsourced CFO Advisory practice.

Steve is an early-stage, private-equity-backed CFO and operating executive with more than 25 years of experience supporting SaaS and IT services companies through growth, transformation, and exit. He has partnered closely with founders, CEOs, boards, and investors, contributing to five successful exits and two IPO processes.

CFO Advisory

Steve brings deep hands-on operating leadership across finance, revenue operations, and value creation. Most recently, he served as CFO and Interim CEO of a global SaaS platform, where he led a rapid operating reset—improving unit economics and revenue operations to return the business to profitability and position it for a successful sale. His work included reducing annual operating expenses by $3 million, delivering $7.5 million in new ARR, and driving meaningful improvements in net revenue retention, CAC payback, and pipeline conversion.

Throughout his career, Steve has helped scale early-stage SaaS and IT services businesses to more than $20 million in ARR and $50+ million in services revenue. His experience includes leading acquisitions, raising debt and equity, building finance and operating infrastructure, executing turnarounds, and preparing companies for buyer and public-market readiness. He is known for combining financial rigor with KPI-driven execution to translate strategy into predictable, scalable performance.

Education

Steve graduated with honors from the University of Baltimore, earning a degree in accounting and finance. He is a Maryland-licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Interests

In his free time, Steve enjoys hiking and camping with his sons. He has explored the outback and backcountry of the lower Colorado Rockies, as well as the mid and upper Rockies in Montana and Alberta—often completely off the grid. These experiences allow for deep reflection and critical thinking, sharpening the mental agility he brings to his CFO role when solving complex problems.
