Among the promotions, Steve Prichett was named President and Head of the Investment Bank, Evergreen Advisors Capital. With over 25 years of experience advising middle-market companies, Steve has been a driving force in shaping a practice known for its disciplined execution, industry insight, and relationship-first approach.

As the newly appointed Head of Investment Banking, Steve shares his perspective on the evolution of Evergreen’s practice and where the team is headed next.


Steve:
Thank you—it’s an exciting time for our team. What really sets Evergreen Advisors Capital apart is our combination of deep industry knowledge and a relationship-first approach. We’ve built a team that doesn’t just execute transactions—we guide clients through some of the most important and complex decisions they’ll ever face. That includes M&A, capital formation, divestitures, and strategic advisory. Whether we’re advising a founder preparing for an exit or helping a company raise growth capital, we’re bringing experience, rigor, and a real commitment to the people behind the business.


Steve:
There are a few key factors at play. First, we’ve been strategic about the industries we focus on—cybersecurity and IT, software and SaaS, aerospace, defense & government services, construction & engineering, and healthcare. These are areas where we have deep expertise and strong networks. Second, we’ve continued to invest in our team, as seen in our recent round of promotions. The talent we have across all levels—from Managing Directors to Analysts—is exceptional. And lastly, our clients are increasingly seeking an advisory partner who not only understands their industry but also brings a thoughtful, disciplined process to the table. That’s exactly what we strive to deliver.


Steve:
I’ve spent more than 25 years advising middle-market companies, working with founders, private equity groups, and corporate buyers through various stages—growth-stage capital raises, strategic acquisitions, exits, and more. What’s most important to me is that these deals are not just transactions; they often represent defining moments in someone’s career or legacy.

A key moment in shaping my perspective as a leader came when I stepped away from investment banking for 10 years to run my own company. That experience gave me a deeper appreciation for what business owners go through—the challenges of scaling, decision-making, and navigating growth. It’s helped me lead with more empathy and a stronger focus on people, process, and purpose.


Steve:
There’s real opportunity ahead. We’re expanding our footprint geographically and deepening our presence in industries that are evolving quickly—particularly cybersecurity, technology, and government services. We’re also seeing more complex deals, which speaks to the confidence clients have in our capabilities. What excites me most is that we’re building for long-term impact. That means investing in people, developing industry-leading insights, and staying focused on helping our clients succeed.
