Join BC&E for our Industrial Market Construction Forecast as we examine how growth sectors – from online shopping to offshore wind – are creating new construction opportunities.
Warehouses, distribution centers and other industrial facilities constitute the fastest growing construction market today. Continuing growth of e-commerce is driving demand for massive distribution centers and small, last-mile facilities. The reestablishment of normal shipping, the construction of a new 50-foot berth at Seagrit Marine Terminal and planned redevelopment of the Howard Street tunnel are all factors driving up traffic (and facilities’ needs) at the Port of Baltimore.
Meanwhile, Maryland is launching an entirely new industry – offshore wind energy. Ørsted U.S. Offshore Wind has leased 50 acres at Tradepoint Atlantic to create the state’s first offshore wind energy logistics center and describes the $13.2 million project as the “first step of many” to build out the new industry.
Join BC&E and representatives from the Maryland Port Administration, Hilco Redevelopment Partners and Ørsted on Thursday, February 18, 2021 for a discussion of upcoming opportunities in industrial construction.
