Dave Gruber is the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Evergreen Advisors.
Dave is the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Evergreen Advisors, bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience across investment management, business development, and operations.
His career in investment management includes 21 years at Legg Mason, where he advanced to Managing Director and Business Head, leading a 72-person team and advising companies nationwide on managing retirement assets. Earlier, he held roles at T. Rowe Price. He later spent 12 years at Royce Investment Partners, a Legg Mason subsidiary, serving as Partner and Head of Sales & Client Service and as a member of the firm’s operating committee.
Beyond investment management, his experience includes leadership roles at Greenspring Associates and serving as Chief Operating Officer of Quality First Urgent Care. He also led the sale of both a family-owned chemical business and the urgent care practice, giving him firsthand experience navigating business transitions and transactions.
At Evergreen, he works with clients across all of the firm’s business lines, connecting them with the services and expertise that best align with their needs. His extensive investment management background, combined with his leadership and business development experience, allows him to build strong relationships and help create value for Evergreen’s clients.

Dave holds the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation, reflecting his expertise in financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and retirement planning.

Dave previously served on the Towson Athletics Advisory Board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Cattail Creek Country Club.
Education
He earned his BS in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from Towson University.
Interests
Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family, whether watching sporting events, hiking, or attending stand-up comedy performances. An avid golfer, he appreciates the lessons the game offers about adapting to new challenges, maintaining a positive mindset, and making the most of each opportunity.
