Shawn is a Director in Evergreen’s Business Valuation practice and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA).
Shawn has more than 13 years of experience providing a broad range of business valuation and financial advisory services for public and private enterprises.
He specializes in the valuation of common and preferred stock, employee and incentive stock options, warrants, partnership, and limited liability company interests and intangible assets. He has extensive experience in the valuation of business assets and interests for the following purposes: financial reporting (purchase price allocations, asset impairment testing, equity compensation); tax compliance (estate, gift, and 409A); employee stock ownership plans (ESOP); fairness opinions; and other corporate planning purposes. Shawn has a particular expertise in the financial modeling and analysis of companies with complex capital structures and of contingent consideration.
Shawn has expertise in a multitude of business industries and has prepared valuations or provided advisory services in the following industries, among others: Software/technology; pharma/biotechnology & medical devices; education; warehousing & distribution; manufacturing; healthcare; publishing; government services, and telecommunications. His experience spans a diverse client base, from regional middle-market businesses to multi-billion dollar enterprises.
Prior to Evergreen Shawn was at Baker Meekins, an independent valuation firm for 13 years. Shawn began his career as a consultant at the Maryland Small Business Development Center in Salisbury, Maryland as part of a graduate assistantship.

Shawn is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and member of the American Society of Appraisers, Baltimore, Maryland Chapter.
Education
Shawn received his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance from the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, where he also minored in Accounting. Shawn received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Salisbury University.
Interests
An avid soccer player, Shawn’s agility and speed on the field keeps him sharp during the day to meet the complex requirements of regulatory agencies, fiduciaries, shareholders and other interested parties. Still playing weekly, his dedication to working hard, discipline, and attitude take his game to the next level every time he plays.
