Will O’Donnell is a Director in Evergreen Advisors Business Valuation practice.
Will specializes in valuations for estate and gift tax, ESOPs, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment, 409A, shareholder disputes, Subchapter-S elections, marital dissolution, and buy/sell agreements. He has worked with clients across a wide range of industries and ownership structures, from operating businesses to holding companies with real estate, investment portfolios, and other assets.
His expertise also includes the valuation of intangible assets, promissory notes, and the analysis of discounts for lack of control and marketability, as well as personal versus enterprise goodwill. Will has also contributed to litigation-related valuation work, including lost profits, lost business value, and other economic damages. He has supported counsel in the discovery process, critiqued expert reports, and helped defend complex damage claims.
Prior to joining Evergreen, Will began his career as a Financial Analyst in Ellin & Tucker’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group.
Licenses and Certifications
Will is a Certificated Public Accountant (CPA) and is accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), and holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation.
Education
He holds an MBA from Loyola University Maryland and a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.
