John is a Vice President in Evergreen’s Outsourced CFO Advisory practice.
John has developed a broad but specific set of capabilities built through his background working in key management positions across several industries. He has over 25 years of executive financial management experience working in both private and public accounting, where he provided strategic financial advice in process improvement in the construction, technology, and government services sectors.
CFO Advisory
John’s executive financial management experience has been acquired while performing strategic roles as CEO/CFO for a large regional construction company and several professional and IT-based companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. He provided strategic and mission-critical advisory services for start-up companies needing essential seed capital for growth and/or turnaround and growth-oriented companies in need of infrastructure and support to help get them on a path to sustainable growth. He has worked with businesses in the following industries: construction, oil and gas production, information technology, CFO consulting, public accounting, radio broadcasting, and government contracting.
His recent experience had him working for a large specialty contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region looking for a way to grow its revenue base and he orchestrated the acquisition of two companies which ended up generating over 4 million dollars of new recurring revenue. Previously, John formed his own CFO Advisory company which serviced companies in human resource outsourcing, software product development, construction, real estate, and information technology.
Education
John earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Loyola College (now Loyola University) in Baltimore, Maryland.
Licenses and Certifications
John is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.
Interests
John thrives on challenging himself from training for triathlons to biking the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Canal Towpath from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. He finds tremendous satisfaction in confronting a challenging task to achieve the desired outcome.
