Thien is an Analyst in the Investment Banking practice of Evergreen Advisors Capital, where he assists on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and corporate advisory engagements.
Prior to Evergreen Advisors, Thien worked as an Analyst for Regions Bank in Atlanta, GA, in their Corporate & Investment Banking division providing financing, advisory, and other services to clients. Here he identified financing opportunities for public and private companies of $250M+ in revenues, performed industry research to evaluate the merger and acquisition environment, and identified potential strategic targets. Thien also worked at Cassel Salpeter & Co. in Miami, FL on capital raise and M&A transactions for companies in various industries. Thien started his career as a Mechanical Engineer in the Department of Defense at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific in San Diego, CA.

Thien graduated from University of Miami with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He then earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami School of Business Administration.
Thien spends his free time volunteering, having been part of various national and local organizations from Florida to California, and numerous places in between. He has played active roles in organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Neighbors in Need, STEP UP, and The Salvation Army.
